A research study was conducted to assess the psychological impact of imprisonment among youth offendersat selected correction administrative center, Kellem Wollega zone, Ethiopia.The objectives were respondent’s socio-demographic characteristics, investigate thepsychosocial impacts on Youth Offenders and identify difference Youthimprisonment level with residence gender offenders.Crosses sectional 83 offenders by systematic samplingtechnique. The data collected using standardized questionnaires. tabulatedand analyzed SPSS. Descriptive inferential statistics used.Researchers observed that causes in three different categories as follows: 42(50.6%),18(21.7%) 23 (27.7%) respondents reported psychological, social economic interconnectedreasons respectively. Psychological tracks: 68(81.9%), 59(71.1%) therespondents diminished sense self-worth, personal value due Self-harm anddrug abuse are result long periods time spent prison correspondingly. It is vital utmostnecessary alleviate fear other associated symptomsand arrange for counselling provide positive metal health.
